Creamy Shrimp Crab Lasagna

  • 9 sheets Lasagna Noodles (No-boil noodles recommended)
  • 1 cup Crab Meat (Imitation crab can be used as alternative)
  • 1 pound Shrimp (Peeled and deveined) Use fresh shrimp for best flavor
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (Shredded) Reserve some for topping
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Reserve some for topping
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (Can be lightened) Consider using low-fat options
  • 2 cups Alfredo Sauce (Homemade preferred)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Can substitute with butter)
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Flakes (Adjust to taste) For spicier kick
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Breadcrumb Topping (Add extra Parmesan if desired)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the crab meat, ricotta cheese, heavy cream, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Assembly

  • In a baking dish, start assembling your lasagna. Spread a layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom.
  • Place three lasagna noodles on top, then add half of the crab and shrimp mixture.
  • Add more Alfredo sauce, then sprinkle a layer of cheese.
  • Repeat the layers, finishing with a final layer of noodles, Alfredo sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Top with breadcrumbs and extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Baking

  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Once done, let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve this lasagna hot, garnished with fresh herbs like parsley or basil. It pairs well with a light salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
