Ingredients
  

For the Broccoli

  • 1 pound fresh broccoli (cut into bite-sized florets)

For the Sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic recommended
  • 2 tablespoons butter For cooking the garlic
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can use half-and-half for a lighter version
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese For a rich flavor
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash the broccoli florets well and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  • Mince the garlic and set it aside for later.

Cooking

  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the broccoli and cook for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Remove and drain.
  • In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Combining

  • Pour the heavy cream into the pot with the garlic. Stir well.
  • Gradually add the grated parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked broccoli into the sauce, mixing until fully coated.

Notes

For a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. Substitute broccoli with cauliflower or asparagus for variation. Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
