  • 8 ounces Ditalini pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 2 cups Chicken broth For a vegetarian version, substitute with vegetable broth.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced for better flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Unsalted butter is recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper To taste.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated.

Preparation

  • Cook the ditalini pasta according to package instructions.
  • In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Add the chicken broth and heavy cream to the pan, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in the cooked pasta and then mix in the grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Serve warm, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a saucepan over low heat, adding a splash of chicken broth if needed. Avoid overcooking the pasta for the best texture.
