  • 2 cups Frozen peas May substitute with fresh peas if blanched.
  • 8 slices Bacon Use freshly cooked for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, diced Can substitute with feta cheese for a variation.
  • 1/2 cup Red onion, diced
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise Can be replaced with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the bacon until crispy and then chop it into small pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the frozen peas, chopped bacon, diced cheddar cheese, and diced red onion.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise with a pinch of salt and pepper, then add it to the salad mixture.
  • Toss everything together until well mixed.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled as a side dish or light main course. Garnish with extra bacon or cheese for added flair. Best enjoyed fresh.
