  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Essential for searing the steak.
  • 4 tbsp butter Creates a creamy sauce base.
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic richness.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Contributes a velvety smoothness.
  • 3/4 cup whole milk Balances the richness.
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated Brings a savory flavor.
  • Parsley, chopped (optional) Brightens the dish.
  • Red pepper flakes (optional) For a spicy kick.
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish) Elevates the flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, add butter, then minced garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring well. Add parmesan and mix until melted and creamy.
  • Toss in the cooked tortellini and sliced steak, coating everything in the sauce for a couple of minutes.

Serving

  • Serve warm, sprinkled with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.

Notes

This dish is best served immediately while it’s warm and creamy. Pair it with a simple green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. A glass of white wine can enhance the flavors beautifully as well. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When reheating, add a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
