Ingredients
  

For the apple slices

  • 2 large large apples, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds Crisp varieties like Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Granny Smith are recommended.
  • 1 tsp lemon juice To prevent browning of the apple slices.

For the chocolate and toppings

  • 1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips Milk chocolate can be used for a sweeter flavor.
  • 1 tsp coconut oil Optional, for smoother melting.
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup toasted chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts, pecans)
  • 2 tbsp mixed seeds (e.g., chia, pumpkin, sunflower)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice apples into rounds and remove the core from each slice. Brush lightly with lemon juice to prevent browning.

Melting Chocolate

  • Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth.

Dipping and Topping

  • Dip half of each apple slice into the melted chocolate and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle shredded coconut, toasted nuts, and seeds over the chocolate-dipped portion while still wet.

Setting

  • Let set at room temperature or chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes until chocolate hardens.

Serving

  • Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
