  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure it's at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chunks Use high-quality chocolate for better flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the vanilla and egg, mixing well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until combined.
  • In another bowl, mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Cookie Assembly

  • Scoop cookie dough onto the baking sheet, creating a small well in the center of each.
  • Fill each well with a small amount of the cream cheese mixture, then top with chocolate chunks.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until set.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes
