Truffle Mixture

  • 1 cup cherry-flavored marshmallow cream Ensure it's fresh for best results.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar May adjust based on stickiness.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened Important for texture.
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract Can also use almond extract for variation.

Coating

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips Dark chocolate can be used for a richer flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil Helps to achieve a smooth melting consistency.
  • optional Cherries for garnish Use fresh cherries for garnish.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine cherry-flavored marshmallow cream, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  • Freeze the truffles for about 30 minutes until firm.

Coating

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
  • Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Place the coated truffles back on the baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
  • If desired, garnish with cherries before serving.

Notes

To store, keep truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for about a week. They can also be frozen with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Use high-quality chocolate for better flavor. If mixture is too sticky, add more powdered sugar.
