Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 strips thick-cut bacon, crisped and chopped
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (1 brick) Make sure it is softened before mixing for a smooth sauce.
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Can be substituted with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Add more for an extra cheesy dish if desired.
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Crisp the bacon by cooking it in a skillet, then chop it into small pieces once crispy.
  • Rinse the chicken breasts, pat them dry, and trim any excess fat. Arrange them in a baking dish.

Mixing Ingredients

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, bacon, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  • Spread the cheese mixture generously over the chicken breasts.
  • Top with additional cheddar cheese if desired for extra cheesiness.

Baking

  • Bake the chicken at 350°F (175°C) for 30-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve immediately, garnished with extra bacon and green onions if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze tightly wrapped.
