  • 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Place the chopped onion and minced garlic in the Instant Pot.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the pot.
  • Pour in the BBQ sauce and chicken broth.
  • Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Close the lid and set the valve to sealing.
  • Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
  • Once done, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  • Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the sauce before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce for a few hours before cooking. You can add more spices according to your taste. For thicker sauce, sauté the sauce in the Instant Pot after removing the chicken.
