  • 1.5 cups 1½ cups milk Dairy or non-dairy milk works.
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness.
  • 0.5 cup ½ cup ice Optional, for a thicker texture.

Preparation

  • Add the milk to the blender first.
  • Follow with bananas, peanut butter, vanilla, and any sweetener if using.
  • If you desire a colder smoothie, add ice last.
  • Blend on high until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides if necessary.
  • Ensure the smoothie is thick but drinkable.

Serving

  • Serve the smoothie in a tall glass.
  • Optionally add a slice of banana or chopped nuts on top.

Storage

  • Leftover smoothie can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours in a sealed container.
  • Shake or stir before drinking again as it may separate.

Notes

For a creamier texture, use full-fat milk or add yogurt. Freezing the bananas ahead of time enhances the cold and creaminess. Adjust sweetness as desired.
