  • 1.5 cups warm water Use water between 100-110°F.
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Make sure it's active.
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  • Add olive oil and salt to the mixture.
  • Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Add your favorite toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown.

Notes

For a crispy crust, pre-bake the dough for a few minutes before adding toppings. If you have leftover dough, store it tightly wrapped in the fridge for 3 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months. Experiment with different types of flour for variations.
