  • 2 slices bread Use fresh bread for the best texture.
  • 2 large eggs (grade A)
  • to taste Salted butter Spreadable and at room temperature.
  • to taste Kosher salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation

  • Using a sturdy glass, carefully press down in the center of each bread slice to make a well for the egg without tearing the bread.
  • Butter both pieces of bread with salted butter using spreadable butter to avoid tearing.
  • Place a rack in the air fryer basket and spray with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Crack an egg into a small dish, being careful not to break the yolk, and pour it into the indentation of one bread slice.
  • Repeat with the second egg and pour it into the second slice of bread.
  • Sprinkle the eggs with kosher salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking

  • Air fry at 375℉ for 6 minutes for an over-easy runny yolk, adjusting time for desired yolk firmness.
  • Carefully remove the egg toast from the air fryer using a spatula. Serve and enjoy!

Notes
